Most likely you don't have the luxury of being a full time grandparent staying home, engaging in activities or waiting for them at the bus stop. Where will they go? You need to be confident they are being cared for in a safe environment and engaged in enriching activities.

  • Action for Boston Community Development

    178 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02111

    ABCD's programs serve individuals and families at every stage of their lives. Services include child care, youth services, education, family and elder services, fuel assistance, health care, housing, job training, money management, and nutrition counseling.

  • Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF)

    Oversees comprehensive services for children in need and their families. Applies the standards of the Indian Child Welfare Act for placement of American Indian children.

Infant/Toddler/Pre-school

  • Department of Early Education and Care

    Provides support for income eligible child care or daycare vouchers.

  • Philips Brooks House Summer Program

    An academic enrichment and experiential learning program for low-income urban youth in the greater Boston area for ages 6 to 13, includes junior counselor opportunities for older teens.

  • City of Cambridge Mayor's Summer Youth Program

    A six-week summer employment program for Cambridge youth ages 14 to 18.
